Trump confident of American support for strikes on Iran — White House

President Donald Trump is confident that Americans support U.S. military strikes against Iran, White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt said on Wednesday.

"The president is smart enough to ignore the numerous false headlines created by people in this room that his actions were unjustified," Levitt said at a press briefing.

Levitt described Iran as "a rogue terrorist regime that has threatened the United States, our allies, and our people for 47 years," adding that "the American people are smart enough to understand that."
