Bitcoin fell below $64,000 on Saturday, continuing its decline as weakening stablecoin inflows indicated sluggish demand for crypto assets.
According to Binance market data, the token was trading around $63,919, down about 2.3% in 24 hours.
As of 11:55 AM, Bitcoin was trading at $63,802.50, having fluctuated between $63,703 and $65,396 during the session. This decline leaves the cryptocurrency roughly 50% below its all-time high as the bear market that began in October continues.
Stablecoin transfers to exchanges have fallen to their lowest level since 2025, according to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost. The 30-day average daily inflow of USDT and USDC into Ethereum is approximately $2.3 billion, significantly lower than the 365-day average of $3.7 billion. When Bitcoin reached its all-time high, these figures were approximately $5.6 billion and $4.3 billion, respectively.
Smaller inflows indicate that investors are shifting less readily available capital to trading platforms, signaling a weakening of buying interest. Stablecoin inflow spikes may be lagging indicators, as some investors are taking profits after demand has already accelerated.
Bitcoin corporate proxy firm Strategy also introduced new metrics designed to give ordinary shareholders a clearer picture of its exposure after accounting for debt and preferred shares, CoinDesk reported. Its new net reserves are $36.6 billion. The calculation combines $55.6 billion in Bitcoin assets and $3.2 billion in cash before deducting $22.3 billion in convertible debt and preferred stock claims.
Regulatory uncertainty also remained a focus, as the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act struggled to gain sufficient support in the Senate.
Democrats rejected proposed ethics restrictions for senior government officials as too weak, particularly those related to President Donald Trump's crypto interests. Senate Majority Leader John Thune said passage before the summer recess was unlikely.
The bill would create a broader framework for the US digital asset market, including rules governing the oversight of tokens, stablecoin rewards, and decentralized finance. Cryptocurrency Prices Today: Altcoins Fall, Week to End Lower
