Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that communication with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is currently "extremely difficult,"
according to an interview aired today on state television.
Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public since assuming the post of Supreme Leader after his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in US and Israeli airstrikes against Iran.
The president's comments were a rare public acknowledgement of the difficulties in leading the country following the decapitation strikes by Israeli and US forces.
