The People's Bank of China will maintain its loose monetary policy.

The People's Bank of China (PBOC) announced today that it will continue to maintain a moderately accommodative monetary policy

and will introduce new practical measures if necessary, according to a statement from the central bank.

The bank intends to strengthen the coordination between monetary and fiscal policies to support economic growth and ensure stable financial markets, according to the central bank's quarterly monetary policy implementation report.

The PBOC plans to strengthen countercyclical regulatory measures and comprehensively use monetary policy instruments, making timely adjustments to maintain sufficient liquidity in the financial system.

The central bank noted that the external environment is becoming increasingly complex and unstable amid weak global economic growth.

The PBOC announced that it will strengthen financial support for domestic demand and work to diversify loan pricing targets. Furthermore, it plans to steadily advance the reform of the monetary policy operating framework.

The PBOC announced that it will counter the risk of excessive deviation of the yuan exchange rate and maintain its stability at reasonable levels.
