a developer tool designed to connect AI applications with the exchange's trading infrastructure—including market data, wallets, payments, and blockchain capabilities—across both cryptocurrency and traditional asset markets.
The platform is part of Binance Intelligence, the exchange's strategic initiative to develop AI-powered products. Agent OS provides AI developers, fintech specialists, and quantitative trading teams with the tools to build applications and agents that interact with Binance's financial infrastructure. The platform supports both ready-made integrations and custom AI agents.
Users can grant agents access to market data, account information, and trading operations via supported AI tools, including ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. Access is governed by user-configured permissions and limits. Each agent can be assigned a dedicated sub-account to segregate funds and trading activity.
"Binance Agent OS addresses the fragmentation developers face when building agentic financial applications across crypto and traditional asset markets," said Jeff Li, VP of Product at Binance. "The platform equips everyone—from developers to quantitative traders—with the reliable data, low-latency infrastructure, and standardized interfaces needed to deploy AI-driven strategies."
Agent OS integrates Binance APIs, the Binance Wallet Agentic Hub, Binance x402 for programmable payments, and the Binance Skill Hub, alongside newly added support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP). MCP is an open standard that enables compatible AI applications to connect to and utilize external tools.
User-defined permissions determine which data and trading functions an AI agent can access. While Binance can monitor trading activity and orders, it does not have access to an agent's workflow or decision-making mechanism; these operate within the AI application selected by the user.
The initial MCP implementation enables compatible AI applications to access market data, view account information in read-only mode, and execute trades. Users can assign an agent to a specific sub-account, configure permissions, and revoke access via the MCP server at any time.
Agents can view the balances, portfolio details, and transaction history of assigned sub-accounts, as well as the balance and portfolio data of the user's main account. Agents do not have access to non-trading personal data, such as email addresses or KYC information.
Binance monitors and controls trading activity initiated through the platform. An agent's external information sources and decision-making processes operate within the user-selected AI application and remain inaccessible to Binance.
