Kevin Hassett of the National Economic Council expressed optimism about the US economy and productivity during an interview with CNBC on Friday.
Hassett, a candidate for Federal Reserve Chairman, indicated that he would defer to the President's judgment regarding his role, stating, "We'll see what Trump thinks about where I should be."
During the interview, Hassett revealed that President Trump plans to announce a "big, comprehensive housing plan," though he did not provide specific details about the timing or content of this initiative.
On legal matters, Hassett expressed "a high level of confidence that the Supreme Court will side with Trump" regarding the tariff case pending before the Supreme Court. He mentioned participating in a "big meeting last night about Supreme Court scenarios" and assured that the administration has "tools if we don't win at the Supreme Court."
