Shares in cryptocurrency and blockchain companies fell on Monday as Bitcoin fell to its lowest level in more than a month due to the lack of progress in Middle East peace talks.
Bitcoin (BTC=) fell 2.6% to $71,739.28, while Ethereum (ETH=) fell 1.6% to $1,973.48. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance launched shares and an exchange-traded fund (ETF) on its platform on Monday.
Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN) shares fell 5%. Shares of Strategy (NASDAQ:MSTR), a Bitcoin investor, fell 6.2% after selling $2.5 million worth of Bitcoin.
Shares of Bitcoin mining equipment maker Canaan Inc (NASDAQ:CAN) fell 3.4%. The ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (NY:BITO) fell 2.7%.
The iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (NY:IBIT) fell 2.7%.
