On September 25, Plasma's XPL token will begin trading on major centralized exchanges, including Binance, OKX, Bybit, Bitget, and Gate.
The listing will coincide with the project's TGE (the process of creating and distributing a new cryptocurrency to the public) and the beta mainnet launch, which will take place on the same day.
According to Plasma's tokenomics, 10 billion XPL tokens will be issued during the TGE, of which 1.8 billion, or 18% of the total supply, will be in circulation after the Binance listing.
It's worth noting that Plasma uses an inflation model, with an unlimited supply. Inflation starts at 5% of the initial supply in the first year and gradually tapers off to a minimum of 3%.
As part of the Binance listing, a total of 75 million XPL tokens were allocated for distribution to the community through the Binance HODLer Airdrops program. Additionally, 100 million tokens (1% of the initial supply) have been reserved as a reward for users who subscribe to the Plasma USDT Locked product on Binance Earn.
Tokenomics data also indicate that of the initial supply, 1 billion tokens will be offered for public sale, with 40% allocated to ecosystem development and strategic initiatives. The remainder is distributed among the team, investors, and other strategic purposes.
Plasma is a layer-one stablecoin blockchain designed to enable instant, fee-free payments and build a scalable DeFi infrastructure for USDT and other digital dollar assets. The project launched in 2024.
